@STVVRVENUS I feel you, and I don’t disagree that she isn’t “brownskin.” I do think there’s nuance in perception though. Meg probably benefits from certain privileges compared to darker-skinned Black women. She’s not pale, but I wouldn’t call her dark either imo. That’s all 😭

@north33830 I don’t want to jump down your throat but what I’m saying is, saying someone is teetering on light skin isn’t much different than saying they’re brown skin. It literally just makes it more complicated, especially for that person when they don’t benefit at all from being LS.

@modernmyspace No I’d consider Lupita to be on the darker side lol. Meg can look really light sometimes. Maybe it’s the makeup, lighting but some darkskin people never really switch tones like that. But hey maybe that’s why some people use the term brownskin. Oh I just saw your last sentence 👍🏾
