More wanton neglect from Britain’s favourite utilities disaster @thameswater!! This vid shows a month-old leak (at least) along the A20 in London SE9, east bound carriageway outside properties 601 to 633 Sidcup Road. Leak source shown at end of vid outside No.633.

@thameswater That’s certainly where it’s puddling but I couldn’t say for certain that that’s where the leak is.

3/3 They’ve been back. Filled up the big hole they’d dug. Packed up their shizz and left the building!! Meanwhile, the aforementioned @thameswater mega-leak continues to flow and flood the A20/BroadLawn junction in SE9 (see vid). Top work fellas. You’ve excelled yourselves!!!

2/3 Worked stopped about 4 days ago with @thameswater’s contractor putting a notice up saying they’d be back and expected to finish the work by 27th July!! Great news. But guess what????

1/3 So, almost 3 weeks after everyone’s favourite utilities fiasco @thameswater closed off our street, dug a big hole and started fixing an almighty leak that had been gushing for nearly a month…

3 @DandG_UK FGS this is just lazy & wasteful. Factor in extra production costs, the x7 impact on mail infrastructure, weight v road miles & the strain on the overburdened postie & you’re really at the wrong end of the sustainability stick guys! Time for a rethink!
