pokemon is actually unique as rpgs go for having a battle system that's insanely cool for pvp and just kinda whatever for singleplayer playthroughs

This exists but it isn't a city builder, it's a breeding simulation and you're trying to get certain stats. I forgot the name but it was so autistic and the interface was so obtuse I couldn't into it.
