one of the best things i've noticed from big brands is that they just don't build products; they try to create the culture.
cuz culture is hard to define because it does not live inside the product. it lives around it. it lives in how people talk about it, how they use it, what they repeat, what they believe, and what kind of person they feel like when they are part of it.
take an eg of apple, it's not just a company that sells devices. it sells the feeling of being creative, thoughtful, and different.
as founders, we should spend less time chasing attention and more time creating something people want.

me as someone who has been there helped founders document, ideate, script, edit those launch videos for their products/ services agree on this.
and i was paid for the above.
i'll be totally blunt with the numbers and intention but the way the kick in the gut and drive of early stage founders push in. they tend to spend on everything just to make it possible for their launch video to go viral.
yeah you catch a lot of eye balls. your sole purpose is solved. then what? yeah you got a few conversions. then what?
the momentum fades. everybody likes being called a founder. nobody wants to accept that you can do what you're charged by an agency to get your work done.

if you’re a founder planning a launch and thinking about doing those launch videos. pls pause for a second. they’ll give you vanity metrics. views, likes, impressions. and you already know how these agencies pull it off. if paying people to engage with your post is virality. congrats, you’ve achieved nothing. unless that engagement is actually from your niche, it means nothing impressions don’t mean sales. all it gets you is a fake sense of achievement while your actual numbers stay flat. aim for conversion. wake up to the reality. open your eyes bbg.

Day-64 > Spent the Day learning some advanced SQL commands have been learning about DB's . Practising rust questions on @notcodesid platform .
Started working on my end to end better kafka in rust . Created an architecture for it .
Gonna finish the phase 1 today.

Day - 63 > Spent the day completing the backend series by @sriniously learnt a lot of new stuff graceful shutdown , security practices , and especially backend scaling and performance engineering . Also learnt about github actions wrote a simple CI . Gonna write some rust now also have some AI and DevOps stuff to learn in upcoming weeks!
