“It’s not only Mbuyiseni, all senior EFF members knew… We discussed it and reached the same conclusion that we’re not being fair to society if we say that this comrade (Julius Malema) can lead this country. WE WERE UNANIMOUS.” - Floyd Shivambu #MadlangaCommission

Eswatini 🇸🇿 : HOTEL ROOMS OR HIGH-TECH BETTING HUB?: What looked like an ordinary stay at a hotel around Mbabane allegedly turned into something far more complex.
About 88 Asian nationals were arrested today after police reportedly uncovered what investigators believe was an online gambling operation running from inside the hotel.
Officers from the Royal Eswatini Police Service (ERPS) allegedly found the suspects surrounded by a web of electronic equipment including laptops, desktop computers and other gadgets, believed to have been used to run the betting activities.
Preliminary investigations suggest the operation was not targeting locals, but people outside the country, raising questions about just how far the digital betting network may have stretched.
The arrests were made during a police operation at the hotel, where officers reportedly seized several devices suspected to have powered the alleged gambling business.

Legal Storm Brews Between Blogger Musa Khawula and EFF’s Julius Malema
Social media personality and blogger Musa Khawula, known for his outspoken commentary on celebrities and political figures, is once again at the center of legal controversy, this time involving Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and his wife, Mantwa Matlala.
In a letter of demand issued on 26 February by England Slabbert Attorneys Inc., Malema and Matlala have threatened to pursue both civil damages of up to R1 million and criminal charges of crimen injuria against Khawula. The legal action stems from posts Khawula shared on X (formerly Twitter), in which he allegedly claimed that the Malemas’ marriage is in crisis due to Malema’s alleged infidelity.
The demand letter accuses Khawula of presenting unverified claims as fact, stating that the posts have harmed the couple’s reputation and exposed their family to public ridicule.
The Malemas’ legal team has stressed that the marriage remains intact and that there are no divorce proceedings or any official legal actions underway, describing the blogger’s assertions as "prima facie defamatory."
Khawula, who has a history of legal challenges linked to his controversial online content, has yet to respond publicly to the latest threat.
