UPDATE: We still have a large emergency service presence at the fire in the Rise Park area. Crews have worked extremely hard to extinguish the fire, and the majority of it is now out, however we expect to remain on scene for another couple of hours.

We are currently dealing with a large fire in the Rise Park area. Please avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident, and do not attempt to fly drones above it. If you can see or smell smoke then please keep your doors and windows closed.

We are currently in attendance at a fire on Green Street in Barton In Fabis. Crews are on scene and dealing with the incident. Please keep doors and windows closed if you live nearby.

We currently have crews in attendance at a fire on Nottingham Road, Nuthall. Our Joint Fire control are receiving a high number of calls about the incident, but please be reassured we are aware. If you live nearby please keep windows and doors closed.

UPDATE | Scrap Metal Fire, Basford The fire on Radford Road has now been dealt with. Crews have left the scene and all roads have reopened. A joint fire and police investigation confirmed the cause was a lithium-ion battery.

Basford Fire Update 👇 Crews worked throughout the night and will remain on scene today with a reduced presence. Once operations are complete, the site will be handed over for a joint Fire and Police investigation. Partial road closures remain in place.

FIRE | We're currently in attendance at a scrapyard fire on Radford Road, Basford. The call came in at 10.31am. We've got six fire appliances and an aerial ladder platform in attendance and understand there is a large smoke plume.

UPDATE 2/2 ⚠️ While crews have made good progress, the fire is still producing a large volume of smoke. Residents in the local area are advised to continue to keep windows and doors closed. Thank you for your patience whilst we've been dealing with this incident.

UPDATE | We've currently got 12 fire engines and special appliances on the scene of the fire at Langar Industrial Estate. This is a fire involving large amounts of scrap metal. Crews have been working hard all afternoon, in extreme heat, and we expect to be here for some time.

We are currently in attendance at on RTC on the A57 at Broad Gate and Darlton. There are reports of a vehicle also on fire, which is producing a large smoke plume. If you live nearby, please keep your windows and doors closed. If you are travelling, please avoid the area.

UPDATE: We are starting to scale back our attendance however four appliances will remain on scene - it’s likely we’re going to be on scene for the next few hours at least. We still ask the public to stay away from the area to allow our firefighting to continue.

We are currently in attendance at a recycling fire in Dunkirk, following a call at 4.22am. Please avoid the area whilst our crews deal with the incident. For those locally who can see or smell the smoke, please keep your doors and windows closed.
