The Japanese 10 year yield has begun breaking out and is about to go vertical. This is the crisis phase where it could go from 2.7% to 4% in the next 60 days. How will the Bank of Japan respond? Selling U.S. Treasuries?

South Korea has never seen a bubble like this. I'd argue no nation has seen a vertical move like this. 54% of KOSPI index are 2 companies, SK Hynix & Samsung. When the memory bubble pops it's unclear what the economic consequences will be. This could be their 1929 depression.

The Federal Reserve's holdings of short duration US treasuries is about to surpass $500 billion. Back in December 2025 Jerome Powell claimed this intervention was necessary because of a potential liquidity shortage in April 2026 tax season. We are now 3 months after tax season and the Fed is still purchasing roughly $40 billion worth of T-Bills per month. The only other time we've seen interventions like this was in the lead up to the 2020 "virus" that they used to cover up the REPO banking crisis. We have no reasonable explanation from the Federal Reserve about what's really going on here.
