Totally agree, essential and integral to any organisation. They are the 'glue' which lead, inspire, support and connect an organisation. They are tough roles therefore vital they are supported and invested in - their middle management skills make them great senior leaders.

The future of middle managers. Analysis of 35 million job postings globally suggests that mid level manager roles aren't dying out. They're expanding in number in many sectors AND they're evolving. They're becoming less about directing people & more about inspiring them. While AI might disrupt the org chart, the research suggests that middle managers will still play a key role, even in innovation-heavy sectors. The ISLA Surgical Site Infection (SSI) surveillance project empowered patients to monitor their surgical site from home 🏘️. Thanks to an innovative app, patients who participated in the project were eight times less likely to require re-operation for SSI. @Isla_health
