📢It is with the HEAVIEST of hearts… …that we announce HOSKY Token and the HOSKY Discord are shutting down, effective immediately. Look, we get it. You’re sad. We’re sad too. Well, no, we’re not. But we understand the concept of sadness and we respect your right to feel it. This is probably the most honest announcement in Cardano history, and that bar was already underground. So what happened? Let’s start with Cardano. The blockchain that “supports builders.” Cardano respects builders the way a cat respects a glass of water on the edge of a table. Not that we built anything, mind you. We built absolutely nothing of importance and we’d do it again. We did, however, sell exactly 420,420 NFTs in a collection we literally, openly, transparently named CASHGRAB. We called it a cash grab. We branded it as a cash grab. The metadata probably said cash grab. And you lot lined up like it was a Black Friday sale on common sense. That’s not a scam. That’s performance art. That’s a social experiment with receipts. We still hold the record for most transactions on Cardano in epochs 302 and 304. Almost 4 years later and nobody has beaten it. A dog memecoin is still Cardano’s peak network activity. Not DeFi. Not any of the projects that drained Catalyst funds promising to change the world. Us. A dog token that promised nothing and still outperformed the entire ecosystem. Cardano’s greatest achievement is HOSKY. And that says more about Cardano than it does about us. But let’s talk about the REAL reason we’re shutting down. It’s you. The community. Specifically: you are idiots. You hyped up 10K, an NFT collection where the dev was so lazy he never even finished it, while NFTs haven’t had a pulse since 2022. You’re STILL asking “wen wildcards” six months later. We gave you nothing and you asked for more of it. Then there’s Quantum HOSKY. A partner chain where you mine crypto with your brain waves, NPCs are powered by lab-grown neurons, and the video games are in four dimensions. For a dog token. You read that, nodded, and said “bullish.” We could have announced HOSKY Space Program with lunar node validators and you wouldn’t have even flinched. This is your fault. Some of you bought the token, watched it do what we explicitly told you it would do (nothing), and then got mad at us. Some of you then bought MORE. We cannot in good conscience continue providing services to people who need this level of supervision. The crypto market is also in the toilet, but honestly that’s secondary. We could survive a bear market. We cannot survive this community. So here we are. To the ones who held through everything: you’re beautiful, deranged individuals. Please seek help. To Cardano: it’s not us, it’s you. Actually it’s also us. But mostly you. We contributed nothing of value and somehow still overdelivered relative to expectations. Goodbye, idiots. You deserved worse and we couldn’t even deliver that. 🐕🦴🪦
