@EmmaCleobury @davidhconductor It’s wonderful to welcome experienced singers to our ranks and we urgently need to improve school provision, but university is not too late! We’re here to teach, very happy to train people, and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch them get the bug! Our students learn very quickly…

@davidhconductor Yes, everyone, and Oxbridge choirs should have a much greater pool of experienced singers to select from, from all sorts of schools. And getting children back into singing in robes parish choirs, would be one way the C of E could help!

It’s important all manner of responses be expressed about choral singing. The article includes only some of the thoughts in full article and is not fully representative. EVERYONE must be given access to singing, not just in public schools. But let’s not penalise them for that.
