🇮🇷 THE STREETS OF SARI TURN INTO BATTLEGROUND AS IRANIANS DEFY THE REGIME
In Sari, which is the heart of Mazandaran Province along the Caspian Sea, the uprising against Iran's Islamist regime reached a boiling point.
Crowds flooded the streets near Sa'at Square, seizing control from security forces, overturning regime vehicles, setting barricades ablaze, and belting out patriotic anthems like "Ey Iran" to reclaim the nation's identity from the theocracy.
This marks the ninth day of protests that ignited December 28 over skyrocketing inflation, energy blackouts, and economic despair.
The fire has spread to dozens of cities, Tehran neighborhoods like Narmak and Naziabad, Fars, Semnan, Ilam, Lorestan, and beyond, where people chant "Death to Khamenei" and wave pro-monarchy slogans backing Reza Pahlavi.
Security forces hit back with tear gas, mass arrests, and live rounds in rural zones.
Several protesters have died (exact count disputed, estimates around 20 nationwide).
The regime points fingers at U.S. and Israeli "meddling"; President Pezeshkian admits the economic suffering but can't stop the crackdown.
No single leader drives it, just raw, decentralized anger.

Crowds were heard chanting support for Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last Shah, something unthinkable just a few years ago under heavy repression. When people risk arrest to shout this in public, it shows how deep the anger runs and how badly the regime’s grip is slipping.
