My brother @YORUBACOUSTIC_ , one of the finest DJs in SA was in the crowd too, a serious listener, deep believer and truly committed house head.

I have also mentioned in a previous post my own show on Smooth Trax radio where i played unreleased Afro House music in the first hour. I co-hosted the show with Kabelo Episode, my brother, friend and serious house head from Pretoria.

Sdudla Se Afrika (Mthulisi Patrick) who ran an online radio show every Friday strictly focusing on new Afro House releases, he ran his show on an international radio station which name i forget.

I have already spoken about DJ Bobsta’s role some months ago in a separate post, it’s always important to mention his role in the rise of Afro House especially in terms of Radio play on Oskido’s Church show on YFM. Also worthy of a serious mention is (cont.)

@CuloeDeSong @AncestralBoddhi wanting to produce spirited Afro House or anyone attempting to write about the Afro-house era (period 2008 - 2013).

A year later (2011), a duo we didn’t know we needed was born - a collaboration project between @CuloeDeSong x @AncestralBoddhi as the Soundiata’s Rebels. In my own opinion, this EP is the true definition of rooted Afro House music and should be a reference for anyone (cont.)

@IamMzilikazi @CuloeDeSong , amongst many other talented local cats which @IamMzilikazi had discovered and given international platform to.

@IamMzilikazi and African dance music. In 2009 he had released two EP’s “Mahuwelele” & “Umoja” featuring Kampi Moto. Both these timeless EPs included the finest house music producers on remix duties, including Boddhi Satva, Ezel, Manoo, Halo, Nomumbah & @CuloeDeSong (cont.)

@RealBlackCoffee to Boddhi Satva’s Ancestral Soul set. Culoe was there too and many of the young producers at the time like Infinite Boys, Jaso Moke, Morra DeRey.

House music cats from all over came to witness this moment. @RealBlackCoffee, who at the time was already enjoying a fair respect and recognition from the international community was there in the crowd (assume he had cancelled some of his gigs for the day) to come listen (cont.)

An economy that doesn’t allow us to enjoy our simplest hobbies is a real bad economy Mr President.

She was impressive but i don’t think she’s fit for that office. We cannot afford another sleepist in that office for a full 10 years.

Batohi’s incompetence and sheer arrogance is just unreal. This has been known for the past 7 years of her tenure yet here she is still heading the most critical state unit.
