🇳🇬🇿🇦 JUST IN - Nigeria Moves to Hit South Africa With ‘Reciprocal Measures’ Over Xenophobic Attacks Nigeria is weighing a range of unilateral actions against South Africa following ongoing attacks on its citizens, describing the options as “reciprocal diplomatic, economic, and regulatory measures.” Officials say steps under consideration include recalling envoys, downgrading engagements, and applying pressure through “targeted restrictions or license reviews” on major South African companies operating in Nigeria, including telecom and pay-TV firms. Authorities are also exploring “import restrictions or tariffs,” “investment curbs,” and tighter visa controls as part of a broader response strategy. Trade data shows Nigeria’s leverage. Bilateral trade stands at about $2.16 billion, with South Africa exporting roughly $468 million to Nigeria while importing about $1.69 billion, leaving Pretoria with an estimated $1.22 billion deficit. Government sources acknowledge these are not formal international sanctions but “countermeasures” aimed at signaling displeasure and forcing accountability.

BREAKING NEWS : Botswana cuts electricity to South Africa and closes its borders President Duma Boko has declared a state of emergency and announced drastic measures against South Africa, amid escalating tensions fueled by accusations of xenophobia against Botswana citizens. Among the most striking decisions is the cutoff of electricity to several South African provinces—an unprecedented move that risks worsening the already severe energy crisis in the neighboring country. In addition, the Botswana government has ordered the immediate closure of its borders and demanded the return of all its citizens currently in South Africa. In a firm speech, Duma Boko strongly criticized the treatment of Botswana nationals, recalling his country’s historical support during the struggle against apartheid. "We helped you fight oppression, and today our children are being humiliated."

We Muslims find it so hard to admit this, but over the years, Christianity has quietly shown through its actions that their religion is truly one of peace. They build hospitals, schools, charities, and help people without making too much noise about it. Meanwhile, we Muslims keep shouting "Islam is the religion of peace" from every corner... but the results on the ground don't always match the slogan. Be honest with ourselves for once: Should we conclude that Christianity is actually the religion of peace? What do you think?

South African government needs to call these lazy South African hoodlums to order. They go about pouring their tantrums and frustration on African foreigners who run businesses in their country. Mandela’s fight for freedom was totally in futility.
