"We won our league championship and I played the entire 3rd period." Pro player @connorcarrick dad's response to his son playing the entire 3rd period in youth hockey is legendary. We need more parents like him in our game.

Just over a minute into overtime of the 2A title game at the 2025 #USAHNationals Girls Tier II 14U Championship, Minnesota Lakers forward Caroline Keepman sealed the deal—delivering the game-winner and a national title to her team! @ChipotleTweets | #TrainEatRepeat

Hi everyone! Attached are details of a summer hockey camp I am putting on and co-instructing. Since graduating college I have been coaching players of all levels and for a variety of training programs. Please share with anyone who may be interested or for other inquiries!

Girls 14U Prospects District Championship The Lakers control the pace of the game and take a 24-10 shot advantage thru regulation but a goal by Beach for the Walleye with 37 seconds left sends the game to OT. An unassisted OT goal by Gerebi is the difference in a 2-1 Lakers win

Wayne Gretzky, on his concern on the stifling creativity in today’s young players: “What we’ve lost is playing on the pond and just going out there and using your creativity and your imagination… learning how to make funny plays and good plays and creative plays. And we’ve lost that imagination and creativity that we had in the 60s and 70s and 80s.”

Being “coachable” might be the biggest lost quality in youth sports. Lots of kids seem put off by being coached. As if being shown how to do something better is a knock on them. Being coached means the coach cares about you. Maybe more of a message for the parents.

This is why pond hockey needs to exist, street hockey needs to live on, and unstructured play is so damn important. These are dudes PLAYING hockey. Coaching is important, but we also need to allow kids time to PLAY. This goal is learning from PLAY. The beautiful game.

If I had a dime for every former high level hockey player or coach who sent me a text like this… Youth hockey culture is like a repellent to a lot of good hockey people, they get in for a year and then peace out from the dysfunction. It’s really a shame.

I've come to Twitter seeking help: I'm looking for followers with a degree in statistics or some type of advanced understanding of mathematics. Working on a project that needs your brain power. Thanks!
