@mosh_oogo @sowmaler So if you lock the card and the person runs off with it they get nothing, and you can replace the card. You'd only unlock the card when you're ready to grant them full ownership of it and all its assets. Once you do that, they're the new owner. It's like handing them cash.

@ntagled @sowmaler Will you be building features to support negotiating exchange rates and knowing how many tokens you get for a certain amount of a local currency? So that the calculations do not have to be done offline on paper. Also if I pay & you run off, I should appeal.

We need a new global network of humans for fiat onramp in urban streets and villages. Obtaining cash and dispensing crypto to wallets from DEXes. All on chain including frontend. dApp for use worldwide by forex shops, mom & dad shops, steet hawkers needed.

@mosh_oogo @sowmaler Most smartphones these days are already NFC enabled. Android since 2011 and iOS since 2018.

@ntagled @sowmaler Will need NFC enabled phones. Then hopefully shipping of physical device does not get blocked at customs if crypto is under attack. Other than that, @ntagled is an impressive addition to anti censorship efforts.

@mosh_oogo @sowmaler @OpenChat You get handed a card, tap it to your phone, and then you're looking at a trusted on-chain interface that's displaying the balance of that card. Everything to mention is easy except appeals, once ownership is transferred in person it can only be traded back in person.

@sowmaler @ntagled @OpenChat Needs to facilitate the journey of a peer to peer transaction in a minute or so; complete with confirmation of what is being bought, handling appeals, seller ratings and reputation building.

@mosh_oogo @sowmaler @OpenChat Ntagle is a proof-of-physical-ownership platform, the physically-tradeable wallet is just one of many integrations that could be built and made available to all ntagle owners. So yeah OpenChat could make an integration to bind aspects of their platform to physical objects.

@sowmaler @ntagled @ntagled could build a dApp separately from the hardware wallet, and be the one stop shop for fiat onramp; and make it readily pluggable to socialfi like @OpenChat .

@mosh_oogo @sowmaler There's no way for them to know that it is anything other than a normal NFC chip. Ntagle is a platform, the physically-tradeable wallet is just one of many integrations that users can choose to enable. Until integrations are enabled it's just pre-encoded HW.

@sowmaler @ntagled Will it be possible to ship it if government knows it is a crypto wallet? Might be blocked at ports of entry. Same to Ledger and such.

@mosh_oogo @sowmaler The user just needs to tap the NFC to the back of any smartphone. No app or anything needed, it'll immediately load a webpage being served from a smart contract and shows a balance. Nothing is more user friendly and natural than a physical object.

@sowmaler @ntagled It will be one option in the peer to peer offering. Challenge will be logistics, and also that it is not as intuitive as an app to a layman user (does not immediately show you balance, display exch rates to local currencies, etc). Appeals more to techies.
