We are excited to share that Yaser Sheikh @subail is joining Nuance Labs @nuance_ai as an advisor! If you know the world of avatars, you know Yaser. As the former VP of Meta’s Codec Avatars project and a Professor at Carnegie Mellon, Yaser has dedicated his career to making digital humans actually feel human. At Nuance Labs, we’re building a human foundation model for real-time emotional intelligence that doesn’t just generate pixels or words, but understands and expresses emotion across voice, face, and body. **We couldn’t be more excited to have Yaser on board as we reimagine what it means for AI avatars to be expressive, believable, and deeply human.

Thrilled to welcome Nicole Zhen as Chief of Staff of @nuance_ai ! Nicole graduated from Yale, was a management consultant at McKinsey, and was on the strategy team at Nordstrom before joining us. She’s now keeping us alive (literally, with health insurance) so we no longer live on the edge. It’s only been a week, and she is already leading everything on the operational side while working on a novel in her free time. We are constantly piling on more work but somehow she still manages to get ahead of everything. Unfair talent, but inspiring.
