@doescience An old theory. My unified theory has a better explanation - matter cannot exist within a black hole (it is ripped apart) and hence no electron orbits can exist to create light solitons. I.e., light does not exist inside a black hole at all.

Why can't objects escape black holes? An object would have to move faster than the speed of light to escape the gravitational pull at a black hole's surface, but special relativity tells us that isn't possible. Learn more with DOE Explains...Relativity: energy.gov/science/doe-ex…
