@anshu @AnantBhan @netshrink The risk of catastrophe shouldn't be calculated based on chances of grid failure but rather chances of grid failure during a time when we cant afford it The risk of cascading failure exists, but we have some really smart minds handling the grid infra but not a risk worth taking.

@AnantBhan @netshrink I doubt any catastrophic grid failure will happen but I wouldn't compare this sudden drop in demand of power to regular day to day.

Been told there could be a power surge at 9 pm tomorrow & damage all appliances. Hence advised to shut down power to entire house by 8.45 pm & go off the grid. Power back after 9.30 pm or so. Use inverter in meanwhile. Any electrical engineers here who can advise?
