My exact thought on this mode hosted by non-Battlefield content creators. I get that you want to bring new players in but focus should be on BF players that quit first before ones that are outside your core audience. Those players just want to play core BF in persistent servers.

@Rickshade3 It’s so hard to get standard servers visibility even to hold weekly events. I still hope that one day they’ll understand most people wanted portal to just be stock modes just run by communities. Though hope is drastically fading and “whacky” will be the focus of servers in BFnext

I'm going to host one more Battlefield community event this Friday and that might be it for me. I think I have had enough of playing a game that was once fun to me but now feels like beating a dead horse. I'm more focused on other things lately IRL and maybe its time to focus more there. 🙂

@SgtDangerCow My issue isn’t the grind as you had to do it too in older games. It’s the hard lock on bonus tier once objectives are complete. You can only earn 7 of 11 levels and can’t proceed any more this week unless you pay $6. Though props on EA for not forcing you into LTM for completion

Whether you can grind for it is not the point.
The game is on its knees content wise and haemorrhaging players.
There’s plenty of other stuff that can be (and is) locked behind the BP.
Actual meaningful content shouldn’t be.
Imagine if they did this with vehicles.

@technotiger68 @SgtDangerCow I'm shocked Recon isn't higher. Its got uses both campers, and for those that are crazy aggressive with C4, Claymores, spots, and auto gadget marking when playing spec ops role. Just shows you how strong the other classes are. Assault's no suprise though lol

@SgtDangerCow Spec ops recon in normal modes since it’s fills the secondary AT with C4 that support class used to fill. I’ll play support if no one’s playing medic in a pinch though.

@rustytatra I’m Excluding RedSec as is balance is different from every other mode. Having to redo healing and Rez gadgets on assault is a massive change, and makes support crazy weak. Just moving ammo turns support into medic, and makes assault very close to traditional support

@nuke_235 Assault + ammo would be a bit OP, because of the assault rifle ability, don't you think? You like how it was in BC2, hum? 😬
Assault should become the medic again. Support should only be the ammo guy. BF4 had the perfect class system. I wish they would revert this.

@SgtDangerCow Do hope persistent servers are on the horizon. A week and a half ago got into an insanely close round of escalation against @maphacker @YourBigBroSteve and a few other [TZ] folks. Most fun round I had in weeks and since. Sadly due to MM we didn’t get a 2nd round against them.

@Standingfast85 @SgtDangerCow While it definitely was lacking on owning a server it still had persistent Dice servers that you could join via a server browser. Thus being able to play with all your friends

@SgtDangerCow Sorry, not sorry but BFV was damn good (besides random recoil being a thing for gunplay, visibility being rough and attrition). Maps were good besides Panzerstorm and Mercury. Could have been better had they not cut content so early
