@GeneralsUpdates He’s a very skilled defenseman but he takes unnecessary risks and bad penalties that have cost his team in games. When you have another defenseman that is filling that role he becomes a trade asset.

@numbersguy130 Why would they be shopping their best defenceman the year before hosting the Mem Cup if he wasn't looking at NCAA?

Beauchesne is leaving Guelph when they got the Mem Cup? That’d be a massive blow to a team who already doesn’t have enough talent. There was rumours Guelph was considering trading him last deadline, so that would suggest they had a hint this was coming

@GeneralsUpdates That I’m not questioning, I believe he has been on the block all season with the emergence of Rylan Singh. It was feeling that he will be one of the players moved during the offseason if this rumour is not true.

@dugout270911 Plans can change, with family ties to the organization and the fact that he could play in consecutive MCs might be enticing to him.

Hearing from different, unrelated sources that Guelph has two deals tentatively arranged with what will be rebuilding teams. Both top 4 forwards.

@JayOnSC I think the two that should be there are St. Louis and Muse. Marty should have gotten love last year and didn’t, this year he’s taken a young team and performing even better. Pittsburgh was supposed to be rebuilding but Muse has them playing great hockey, in the playoff hunt.

@eppman Just like he was in negotiations with him a week ago and Iran denied it. Another attempt at swaying the market for the benefit of his cronies.

@SteveMcLean888 Agreed, I think Peter Deboer has been the coach of half the league (know it’s not true) but seems like it. Teams should take a risk and try a young up and coming coach. I think the Rangers coach deserves an opportunity.

@brendanshowbiz He did tell the press he would no longer speak about lineup changes early in the week. I think he was right to be annoyed by the questions. I agree his response was off but given they are in a tight race, he can’t give the opposition useful information to prepare for the game.

Martin St. Louis is starting to feel the heat, as evidenced by his outburst at a press conference Thursday. He got angry with journalists after a routine question. I'm figuring we'll be seeing more of Angry Marty as the playoff race heats up. montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/…

For the first time in two years it's Guelph Storm playoff gameday! For the first time since 2002 it's against the Windsor Spitfires. Heading down to Windsor for my first game at the WFCU Centre since October 2021. My second longest OHL arena drought. Only Ottawa (May 2019) longer

@StuCowan1 I’d like to see Slav moved back to 2nd line for a big body presence. In the offseason, the Habs should acquire Isaac Ratcliffe from the Preds cheap, he hasn’t done much but he grew up playing alongside Suzuki, always had chemistry. Thoughts on trail basis? No hurt no foul.

Guelph gets Windsor in Round 1. This is only the 2nd time ever that these two teams have matched up in the postseason. They last met in Round 2 in 2002. Spits won the series 4-1. GUE was 4-seed, Windsor 6-seed. Guelph hosted the Memorial Cup later that spring.

@SteveMcLean888 This shows that if they can support a junior team like this, imagine if the NHL came back to the new building. Unfortunately Bettman doesn’t like Canadian expansion.

For those who don't know French or too lazy to hit that translate button. Quebec finishes with the highest average attendance in the CHL for the 16th time in 19 seasons at 9,381 per game. Just ahead of the London Knights.
