Life is just different in purple and red places like Northern Michigan and Tulsa, Oklahoma. When you live in a more politically diverse place, you learn to find common ground and engage with people you work with, or even genuinely like, or love, who happen to see the world and politics differently than you. As we move toward the midterms, I encourage you to get offline and get involved in something in-person. Never forget that we have more in common than what the bots and trolls online would have you believe.

Let’s be serious: the people in charge of this administration are not interested in merit. They've overruled the merit process to block the promotion of Black military officers - and lavish favors on people who can pay dues at Trump's private clubs or write big checks to his ballroom project.

Buttigieg: You’ve got money from the Middle East going into the Trump family crypto fund while you have Americans going to the Middle East for Donald Trump’s war. It could not be more wrong in terms of the priorities and the interests that this president has at heart. But it’s because he knows that this isn’t going to impact him or his buddies.

They cut Meals on Wheels for seniors, doctors for the VA, and food for American children - but send billions of taxpayer dollars to the Middle East for an unnecessary war of choice.

Good to catch up today with my friend @PeteButtigieg in Philly. He’s one of my favorite people to nerd out with, and it was great to talk SEPTA with someone who really gets it. This country’s transportation system was in better hands when he was in charge.

Americans know this war will do nothing to help - and will very likely make things worse - when it comes to the biggest challenges we face here at home. Donald Trump or his wealthy friends won’t pay the price. It will fall on service members and their families, on taxpayers, and on working Americans already stretched thin.

The President has launched our nation and our great military into a war of choice, risking American lives and resources, ignoring American law, and endangering our allies and partners. It does nothing to help with the urgent problems here at home that Americans face every day. This nation learned the hard way that an unnecessary war, with no plan for what comes next, can lead to years of chaos and put America in still greater danger.

Hard to tell if the Trump administration killed this or is just slow-walking it. Either way, they should change course and allow our policy to take effect.
