Tim cast his first ever NDP vote today. He told me, “I was voting against Danielle, but after talking to you now, I see that you were someone worth voting for, too.”

Take some time to notice the people who always seem to find something to complain about are the same people who are entirely unwilling to put some effort in or step up to change things

Earlier this #NursingWeek2023, @fordnation forced through #Bill60 to further privatize Ontario’s health care. We’re getting the word out about his continued attacks on public health care with ads across the province. If you see one, be sure to post a photo and tag us! #onpoli

I was today years old when @Jess_Millar15 informed me that the “ABD” in ABD pad stands for “Army Battle Dressing” and not “abdomen”😐

@michellemackey Another reason to abolish the public catholic school system. One taxpayer funded public school system for all. Go to your religious place on your own time. And tax churches. And heck, abolish the monarchy

@CaulfieldTim How can PH on the one hand tell parents that a vaccine that reduces their child’s risk of covid hosp by >80% when thousands are being hospitalized isn’t necessary and on the other hand continue to get high vaccine adherence rates for infections that currently hospitalize 0 kids.

@EdKrassen The same argument goes for poverty. It is better for kids to grow up in a wealthy household. But what do you do to fight poverty?

In case you’re wondering why Toronto hasn’t made a similar declaration… The board of health tried to move a motion to declare homelessness a crisis, & @Thompson_37 amended the motion to exclude that declaration, bc if we declared it a crisis, we’d have to do something about it.
Gru@Gruesomebrat

This is long overdue, in many Ontario towns and cities. 3 decades of policy choices have brought us to a point where too many of our neighbours are choosing which bills to pay, finding themselves having to choose food over rent, and ending up without housing.

This entire situation ruined a Black Nurse’s career. Read about it. ALL NURSES need to stick together. Our license is always on the line, but the ruin of @DonQuenick was intentional. She spoke up & b/c she is Black, was crucified. Please donate if you can. #NurseTwitter.

Happy Thursday & much respect to the amazing nurses [@ontarionurses] who yesterday, literally lied on the street to make sure their demands were heard by the Ontario government. In solidarity with nurses across Ontario. ✊🏾 #SupportNurses

Dear @fordnation Have you seen this? Nurses are out on the streets to demand better & to stop privatization of healthcare. Nurses die-in to protest a collapsed health system. Nurses have had enough! Are you listening, Doug? #onpoli #onhealth #cdnpoli #StopPrivatization
