Snail pop art! Curling string into a swirly spiral to create a personal printing block. Once dried, we used paint to create wonderful, colourful spiral printed patterns. We’re very proud of the finished result. They look so effective! 🐌 🎨 @SDLPrimary @ExceedLP #EYFS

Arts Week @SDLPrimary check out our collaborative project linked to #Superworm! Lots of techniques & media used. Folding, stapling, joining, sewing. Spraying paint for relief art & using pastels to add worm segments & detail - even the 2 buttons, a toffee & a plastic fork! 🪱🎨

Our National Numeracy Day focus is ‘Maths at the Movies’. We have watched Old McDonalds Farm & decided upon our favourite farm animals. We’ve used lots of our maths reasoning skills this morning! @SDLPrimary @Class2SDLA

@Booktrust When the Wind Blows - Raymond Briggs. I remember choosing it as a 7 year old from the children’s section in the library (I was drawn to the cartoon-strip style text). It certainly had an impact on me. I was so frightened!

The wind blew down one of our HUGE sunflowers 🌻 We used the magnifiers to observe it closely & created our own representations of what we saw, felt & smelled. We loved the smooth petals & were surprised how rough & spiky the stem felt! Super discussions 🥰@ExceedLP @SDLPrimary

We practised mindfulness in #ForestSchool this morning. Laying in the leaves, looking up to the tree canopy, using all our senses & deep breathing to relax our bodies. We loved Bug Yoga too! @SDLPrimary @ExceedLP @nurserySDLP1 #EYFS

@Class2SDLA @SDLPrimary @ExceedLP He or she was very cosy snuggled up in the leaves in Forest School. The @nurserySDLP1 children were fascinated by it too! We tried to be quiet so we didn’t wake him/her. We will let you know if it’s still there in the morning! 🥰
