Esta es mi propia "guerra" desde que hace casi 15 meses me convertí en padre. Vivimos en un mundo donde es legal que existan hoteles "adults only" y donde los niños son un estorbo. Mi propósito vital es desmentirlo y compartir justo lo contrario: son lo mejor de la vida.

A little tip to help yourself get out of the bed in the morning to train now it’s a little colder: Just do a 3-second countdown in your head, and when it’s done just spring out of the bed without thinking If you think too much it won’t get magically warmer, and also the voice inside your head will naturally tell you to just stay in bed Also accepting that the first 10-15 minutes after you get up will be a bit rough, but after that you’ll be fine Try it 👍🏿

Liking your style of training is incredibly important. Training for physique has never motivated me, but training for performance has endlessely motivated me. This is why I have never done pure bodybuilding style training and have almost never used machines. I simply don't like that style of training, hate using machines, and hate "globo" gyms. I much prefer barbell lifts and training with a focus on performance: improving maximal strength, improving olympic lifts, improving gymnastics skills, or improving endurance/running ablity. That doesn't mean my style of training is better, or that I think bodybuilding style training or using machines is dumb or a waste of time. It just means I don't like it so I don't do it. Do what you enjoy and do the type of training that supports your goals.

@JoseTomasTocino Lástima que Elementor sea tan tan tan malo comparado con otros builders. Tiene un ecosistema de plugins y demás muy grande pero lleva estancado muchos años y la usabilidad lastra bastante.

Por añadir, la fórmula de 220-edad no sirve absolutamente de nada, tienes que calcular tus zonas. Garmin es lo que usa para todo lo demás.

@lacort he sido usuario de Garmin durante muchos años. El mayor tip para que lo del estado de entrenamiento te funcione bien es tener tus zonas de FC configuradas correctamente. Ya sea a partir de FCMax o FCLactato. Ambos te los calcula el Garmin después de un tiempo.

@hybridathlete In a way it’s cheating your way into being able to do “more”. The reason you were getting niggles (your new fav word) is because your foot, tendons, etc need adaptations for higher volume and top end foams allow you to do more without those adaptions.

For the past few months, I’ve been doing most of my training runs in carbon plated shoes, mainly Saucony Endorphins Pro 4s. I feel great, my shins hurt way less, and I feel like it helps me recover faster. Other than cost, is there any reason I shouldn’t do this?

@hybridathlete I’d put it somewhere between B and C. I think with enough consistency and determination, it’s quiet achievable. This is in a relatively young man (under let’s say 40). The issue is that you need a certain level of consistent weekly commitment for years.
