@EduardoHagn Arsenal would not go for high touch, high volume creators in any position. Odegaard is lost in this team and that's partly why. Open play creativity leads to increased defensive risk. You can't have the best rest defense in Europe while creating 99th percentile open play chances

Mika Godts is a monumental no from me. He’s not a bad player but that’s a signing Arsenal would have made in 2019.

€75m for Ander Barrenetxea? Ridiculous. Yes, he is a Santi Carzola but as a winger. But, just because he can use both feet doesn't mean he is worth €75m. Reports suggest Arsenal are preparing an opening €30m bid for Ander Barrenetxea, but Real Sociedad's €75m release clause is proving to be a serious obstacle. Honestly, I really like Barrenetxea. He's one of those rare wingers that's comfortable on both feet, can glide past defenders, combine in tight spaces and play with that technical elegance that reminds me of Santiago Cazorla, just in winger form. But football has reached a point where being two-footed automatically adds another €40m to your valuation and it's getting ridiculous. Is Barrenetxea talented? 100%. Can he improve Arsenal's attack? Absolutely. Is he worth €75m? I just don't see it. For that kind of money you're talking about genuine game changers. Players who can decide big matches consistently and carry attacks on thier own. Barrenetxea is a very good winger, but it feels like the market is pricing the idea of the player more than the actual output. €30m feels like a fair starting point. €75m feels more like a release clause designed to scare clubs away than his actual market value. If Arsenal really want him, there'll have to be some serious negotiations because I can't see the club dropping €75m just because a winger can use both feet and looks silky on the ball. Talent? Yes. Quality? Yes. €75m? Nah, not for me. Maybe I'm missing something but that price feels way too steep.

@thearsfamily97 If we check Fotmob and compare Arsenal players to other top European teams that keep possession. You will notice Arsenal players on average sit in 60th percentile for touches per 90. Every Arsenal target also sits low in the percentile. Btw cty, psg, fcb rank in 90th percentile

As a huge fan of Bouaddi, I've seen some accounts tell people he has good passing chops. He doesn't. He's not a good passer, never has been. He is an average passer. His technical level isn't bad, it's just that his decision making and execution when it comes to passing is very erratic. However, he is young, and we're buying him to develop those areas while capitalising on the areas he is amazing at like his carrying, dribbling, and OOP value (tackling, duelling, anticipation, aerial ability etc). I don't like it when people misprofile a player because sets them up for attack later when the player doesn't do what people here told the fans they are good at. Let's properly attribute what a player is good at, and what he isn't. Where he plays well and where he doesn't.

@VictoryOwai Arsenal control games but we don’t control games in the same sense as PSG, Man City and Barcelona etc., very quickly you can check players we are linked to Rogers, Bouaddi, they aren’t even in 70th percentile for touches per 90 and they’re midfielders.

@VictoryOwai It becomes even more glaring when you look at our other attackers and players. We are top 5 in the league for average possession, only 4% behind City who are 1st but if you check all City players they are in the 80-90th percentile for touches per 90

Aren't we supposed to be striving to become more like PSG in the way we control games? Arsenal reportedly having a €60m bid rejected for Ayyoub Bouaddi, with Lille demanding at least €70m, has me asking a serious question about the direction of our midfield. When I watch PSG, I don't see a midfield built primarily on running power. I see technical security. I see players comfortable receiving under pressure, turning out of tight spaces, manipulating possession and controlling the rhythm of matches. Their midfield is fluid, expressive and unpredictable. Meanwhile, Arsenal seem to be leaning more and more towards physical profiles. Players who can cover ground, win duels and press aggressively. That's important, but football at the highest level is increasingly being decided by technical superiority, not who can run the most kilometres. This isn't a criticism of Bouaddi. He's a talented young player with a huge future ahead of him. But when every midfield link feels like another athlete rather than a pure technician, you start to wonder what the long-term vision really is. The games that have hurt Arsenal the most over the last few years weren't games where we lacked runners. They were games where we lacked composure, creativity and midfielders capable of taking control when the pressure was highest. PSG's midfield glides through games. Ours often fights through them. I want Arsenal to build a midfield that can dominate the ball, not just dominate transitions. A midfield that can slow the game down, speed it up, and dictate every phase of play. Running wins moments. Technical quality wins trophies.

@kofi97_ @afcstuff @GraemeBailey He’s more than good enough to be a 3rd choice winger. Barcola is PSG’s 3rd choice winger and he carries them in Ligue 1. Martinelli was our highest goalscorer in champions league last season. Stylistically he fits the UCL more

🚨 Arsenal want to sign a midfielder this summer & their main targets are Mateus Fernandes (21), Sandro Tonali (26) or Ayyoub Bouaddi (18). Myles Lewis-Skelly will also be expected to step up & command regular game time in midfield. 🕵️‍♂️ [@garyjacob]

This here is exactly why Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea fans never wanted Arsenal to win the EPL. They knew the pull the club could make their clubs a laughing factor when pulling large crowds. For Manchester United we understand it's deep

@FabrizioRomano What top winger is out there realistically? Infact let’s look at top wingers currently. The way I see it, they were all scouted and became household names in less than 3 years so pls don’t look at the Kvaratskhelia’s of football but rather an unknown baller with low market value

🚨 Arsenal have already started working and planning for summer signings. At least 3 signings are expected, could be even more based on exits. Top winger the priority; midfielder and right back also almost guaranteed. Strikers situation to follow. 🎥 youtu.be/b_LMmBF_ez8
