This post maps all three browser-based document viewing approaches — JavaScript SDK, hosted iframe, and server-side rendering — to the scenarios where each one actually makes sense, with a concrete tradeoff breakdown on privacy, format support, and engineering effort, plus a Nutrient Web SDK integration walkthrough. nutrient.io/blog/online-do…

Have you noticed Anthropic's shipped pdf-viewer plugin never actually shows the PDF? It's fundamentally broken and has been for a while. So we at Nutrient built one that works. nutrient.io/claude-desktop

This post breaks down how React 18's lane scheduling actually works, when to use useTransition vs. useDeferredValue, and why wrapping input state in a transition is a common mistake. Includes real examples from a production PDF viewer codebase. nutrient.io/blog/react-use…

Claude Desktop has no native PDF support. Nutrient PDF Editor adds it. Runs inside Claude Cowork. Prompt it to redact, fill forms, highlight clauses, extract text. Renders next to chat. Saves to disk. Developed by @nfxDevelopment nutrient.io/claude-desktop…

Claude Cowork edits your PDFs. But until now, you had to leave Cowork to actually see and manually edit/sign them. Not anymore — Nutrient PDF Editor is built right in. Agents do the heavy lifting while you watch the PDF update. Step in whenever you want nutrient.io/claude-desktop

You've got three options — a client-side JavaScript SDK, a hosted iframe viewer, and server-side rendering — and each breaks differently depending on what your documents contain and where you're allowed to send them. This post compares all three approaches across privacy, format support, customization, and engineering effort, and walks through embedding a viewer with Nutrient Web SDK. nutrient.io/blog/online-do…

Nutrient Workflow's AI Form Builder takes a natural language description and outputs a complete form — fields, required constraints, and naming conventions like camelCase client IDs handled without manual configuration. Iterate conversationally: change a numeric scale to descriptive options, add attachment sections, request row aggregation with custom calculations (price × quantity = amount). The result is ready to embed in a workflow. youtu.be/Q0kfTxx7iQ4?ut…

Nutrient Workflow's Agentic AI Approval task reads the form fields and the uploaded attachments, checks them against your policy documents, and returns an approve or reject decision with a citation to the exact clause it used. Toggle it on or off, swap AI providers, upload policy docs, add free-text rules. No custom logic to write. youtu.be/e_jX0Tyj7ds?ut…

Benchmarks don't lie. Our new PDF-to-Markdown converter is the fastest parser in the test, hits 0.88 accuracy, and runs fully local with no license key needed. Free up to 1,000 docs/month.

Shipping Day! We’re all proud and excited @nutrientdocs to officially release our PDF to Markdown converter. On our 200 document hand annotated markdown based benchmark it beats out every other major parser for speed and reading order while matching accuracy. We are shipping it as a closed source, free to use for up to 1,000 documents per month, no license key required, and your documents stay completely local. We’ve had early beta testers give us phenomenal feedback but please reach out and share publicly your experience with it. Our future roadmap: - adding our OCR Vision capabilities to it. - supporting Windows x64 - speed increases (yeah, make it even faster) - support for DOCX to md - more based on feedback. If you find it useful, please star the repo and tell your friends!
