I disagree with @Grassroots_Left about how YP should be run, but their members have solidly backed Palestinian rights. I don’t understand why they have ignored this major, vital initiative to investigate and report on the genocide in Gaza. Can it really be down to factionalism?

this bodes very badly. Lansman ran Momentum the same way - centralised all power into a totally opaque officers group of leadership allies (who eventually all fell out anyway), and it was a totally lawless & dysfunctional governance nightmare

What I'm hearing from the YP CEC meeting is that the TM group have created an officer group within the CEC, which will essentially run everything. Other CEC members won't get to oversee things like finance and disciplinary issues. Members wanted collective leadership.

It'd be good to show some deference and involve your co-leaders in strategic calls of this magnitude. Specially under the risk of deeming the project superfluous, obsolete, and redundant out of the gate in light of the Greens. Why not focus on YP policy rather than a GP alliance?
