In November, a group of our managers celebrated their completion of a comprehensive training and development program we’ve called the “Centered on You Academy.” Designed to be centered on employee growth in the areas of business management, leadership and financial topics, the Centered on You Academy hosted 16 nominated managers from across our business divisions. Purdue University crafted this program in collaboration with Ceres Solutions leadership to ensure a robust learning experience including a final Capstone project presentation in the final session. Please join us in congratulating this group of Centered on You Academy graduates! We’re proud and grateful for their leadership across our teams.

This week we’re excited to feature a 27-year co-op employee, Region 3 Agronomist Jeff Nagel! When he’s not advising farmer-owners and fellow employees on best practices for the current crop year, Jeff and his wife, Beth, enjoy volunteering in their faith with Connection Point Church, where they have also attended for 27 years. Over the years, Jeff has served as a deacon and guest services, as well as leading small groups. The Nagels have a passion for strong marriages and enjoy facilitating the Alpha Marriage Course for couples of all ages. They’re also involved with the Purdue International Friendship Program, having hosted students from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Ukraine and Malaysia. 80% of international students never experience a relationship with an American family. Hosting students provides a great opportunity to learn from other cultures, and they remain connected to many students after graduating and moving elsewhere around the world. “As a part of my faith, I enjoy serving, supporting and mentoring others,” Jeff said. “There are so many opportunities to positively impact the lives of others in our community. Find your passion and get involved!” Thank you, Jeff, for all you do to lead and counsel us at Ceres and the impact you make in your community.
