In addition to heavy rain, conditions may become favorable this afternoon for strong to marginally severe storms with damaging wind being the threat.

Once we get past today, there will be an extended period of dry weather. It will be less humid, so a bit cooler at night than it has been recently. But overall temperatures will be near normal with plenty of sunshine each day.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will occur today, with heavy rain possible at times. Localized areas could get 3 inches or more which may lead to flash flooding.

A Flood Watch has been issued for much of the region from 2:00 AM Wednesday morning through 2:00 AM Thursday morning.

[2:10 PM] Multiple rounds of rainfall are expected from the early morning hours Wednesday through Wednesday night. Be prepared for rises in creeks and streams, along with renewed flooding issues.

Conditions will become favorable again for locally heavy rain on Wednesday with showers and storms that will move across the region. Given the recent wet conditions, this could lead to some flooding.

Showers and storms will increase from south to north this afternoon into the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will be seasonably warm.

[9:14 AM] Warming temperatures and dry conditions this Memorial Day.

Dense fog advisory until 9am for Mercer, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties in Ohio.

Widespread dense fog is developing near and east of Interstate 75 early this morning. Visibility will begin to improve by around 9 AM.

[10:30 PM] A special weather statement for patchy dense fog has been issued. The close proximity of the cold front + very saturated soils is resulting in some early fog development. Will continue to monitor trends.

A county flood warning was issued for Hocking given numerous road closures and high water issues. Several other counties in the Scioto Valley and Northern KY continue to deal with high water issues and road closures. Be careful, especially as we head into the overnight hours.

[4:53 PM] Several rivers/creeks continue to overflow their banks with the renewed rainfall today. A handful of river points are still expected to remain in flood stage overnight. Remember that water.noaa.gov is great site to track the latest river observations/forecasts.

312pm: Showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to move across the region this afternoon. They will continue into the evening before tapering off overnight. Some of the rain will be heavy at times. Do not drive into flood waters!
