A look at the Italian roots of this great Catholic event. We take you inside the New York Encounter 2026, a free, three-day cultural festival (February 13-15, 2026) in the heart of Manhattan that's organized by the Catholic lay movement Communion and Liberation.

As someone with a deep passion for ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, it was an honor to moderate a discussion between @Malka_Simkovich and @FarouqWael about the meaning of belonging in the Jewish and Islamic traditions at the @nyencounter. I learned a great deal from their contributions, and am thankful for opportunities like this to share my religious journey with others in the Abrahamic tradition.
