Our Public Safety team responded to a suspicious person call last night and recognized a vehicle linked to prior rim and tire thefts. After stopping the vehicle, officers recovered multiple stolen rims and tires. If you see something, say something.

Working alongside @QueensDAKatz , the Quality of Life Division and @NYCSHERIFF , Our Precinct assisted in the closure of an unlicensed cannabis shop on Queens Boulevard, where over 200 pounds of cannabis was confiscated. Partnerships like these help protect our communities.

Our Crime Prevention & Traffic Safety Officer was busy this week—hosting a Vision Zero & wheel lock giveaway at Maspeth Federal Savings and connecting with our older adult community at Young Israel. Keeping our streets safe and our community informed!

Got a call saying your debit card was compromised and someone is coming to pick it up? It’s a scam. 🚫 Don’t cut up your card for anyone 🚫 Don’t hand it to a stranger ✔️ Contact your bank using the number on your card No bank will EVER send a courier to your home.

Protect your ride! 🚗💨 Thieves are entering homes to steal key fobs and vehicles. Don't make it easy: 🔒 Lock all doors & windows 🔑 Keep fobs away from entryways 🛡️ Use an RFID-protected lock box Contact your local Crime Prevention Officer for a free security survey. 🚔

Catalytic converters contain valuable metals, making them a target for thieves. Protect your vehicle: ✔️ Etch your license plate or VIN onto the converter ✔️ Park in well-lit areas ✔️ Install an anti-theft device 📞 Call 911 if you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

🚨 Did you know? Thieves can use an RFID scanner to “boost” your key fob signal from inside your home, tricking your car into thinking the key is nearby. 🚗💨 👉 Keep fobs in RFID-blocking pouches or metal containers, and away from doors/windows.

Our Crime Prevention Officer met with our Older Adult community earlier today to discuss scams affecting our neighborhood. Tips were shared on how to recognize fraud, protect personal information, and report suspicious activity. Staying informed helps keep our community safe. 🚔
