The recent reported attacks and disruption of the business activities of Bureaux de Change (BDCs) operators in different urban centers across the country by Government Agencies, are ill-advised and wrongly directed.

Hmmm. Abuja suddenly becomes vulnerable, just like during the Jonathan regime.

What's the connection between Emefiele, Diezani and the resurgent discussion about the place of the Igbo in Lagos? Guess.

51 Seater Buses @aonanuga1956 tweeted this laudable initiative. However, most bus owners scrapped luxury buses. The ones in use take 2-3 days to arrive their destinations due to breakdowns. Others like GIGM never had any in the first place. I foresee image trouble for govt ahead.

@TheNationNews They have debunked this story. The EFCC is not fair to this couple. The man is a retired army officer and school proprietor and it is a civil case that EFCC is meddling in. Nigeria is a mess.

EFCC arrests couple over alleged land fraud The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Enugu Zonal Command has charged Mr. Udeani Simon Sunday and his wife, Udeani Dorcas Amaka, before Justice M.G. Umar at the Federal High Court in Enugu on three-count charges related to alleged land fraud, specifically accused of obtaining the sum of N2,750,000.00 (Two Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) by false pretense. EFCC disclosed this in a statement on its X handle on Tuesday, December 5. The statement reads: "The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned a couple, Mr Udeani Simon Sunday and his wife, Udeani Dorcas Amaka before Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu. "They were arraigned on three-count charges bordering on obtaining the sum of N2,750,000.00 (Two Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) by false pretence in an alleged land fraud "One of the charges against the Udeanis read: “That you Udeani Simon Sunday and Udeani Dorcas Amaka, between 10th July 2019 to 19th December 2019 in Enugu, Enugu State, within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, with intent to defraud, induced one Onugu Angela Chinyere to deliver to you the sum of Two Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand, Naira (N2,750,000.00) under the pretence that you would sell to her a plot of land behind Ebenezer Anglican Church, Ala-Uguaji along Enugu/Port Harcourt Road, which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under section 1 (3) of the same act. "They pleaded not guilty to the charges, following which prosecuting counsel, Nurudeen Ingawa prayed the court for a trial date, while the defence counsel, E.C. Nwauba Esq made an application for their bail. Justice Umar granted them bail in the sum of N5 million with one surety in like sum. The surety must be a civil servant not below grade level 10 and residing within the court’s jurisdiction. The case was adjourned till February 6, 2024." @orimimabayomije @RockviewR23310 @rockviewroyale I feel for you too over this embarrassment. Consider following up with the authority agents that commented here. I've always wondered why Nigerian hotels want to turn into student boarding houses for adults that rent their rooms. Shocking.

Guys, see what a security at @RockviewR23310 Rockview Hotel Royals Abuja did to my husband and I this night because we wanted to take in the meal we got from Farm City. When we lodged on Friday, there was no orientation whatsoever that they don’t allow external food.

@Nutty_phemie @orimimabayomije May be true but is this the issue? It's assaulting a paying guest for bringing food they want to eat to a place they rent paid. Condemn the barbarism before comparing food.

President @officialABAT spoke brilliantly about various assets that makes Nigeria a standout choice for investors during his engagement at the #CwA conference earlier today in Berlin, Germany. Here are the Salient Points from the President's Speech: - The President believes that enjoying the youngest, largest, most vibrant youth population and a well educated population are the primary assets and advantages Nigeria wields over other nations in the global race for new investments. - The President also believes that the stability and predictability in the socio-political development of Nigeria provides a conducive atmosphere for business operations and investment. - PBAT trusts his transformative changes to improve Nigeria's economy will remove all obstacles hindering businesses because his government reforms are based on the principles and philosophies of good governance. - The President accepts that the vast gas deposits in Nigeria and its business-friendly environment makes the most populous country an attractive investment destination. - Finally, the President believes that the creation of fiscal responsibility and tax reforms by his government will accommodate foreign investments to his creation. #PBATInBerlin

@PNMbah How quickly things change. I'm ashamed to admit that this agency has been knocking on Enugu State's door on this matter for over six years. The times are changing indeed. For the better. Kudos, Mr. Governor.

Yesterday in my office, I received the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Kashifu Abdullahi, who was represented by the Director of Research and Development, Engr. Collins Agu. I was pleased to hear that the management has concluded plans to establish a befitting zonal headquarters here in Enugu. As a government, ICT is essential, and NITDA's mission in Enugu State is a component of our strategy in technology. It is our intention to ensure that Enugu State flows with the tides of technological innovations. As a result, we are eager and always prepared to welcome investors, especially in the area of ICT, and to give them every necessary support to ensure they succeed. We are hopeful that with the presence of NITDA in Enugu State, our youths will be skillfully trained in tech and innovation. It is indeed a major boost in our efforts to capture the critical mass of our young people in the digital space. We therefore, enthusiastically look forward to the prospects of this development. Many thanks to the management and Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency for choosing Enugu State as their headquarters in the South East Zone. Tomorrow is here!

Folks hope that hunger and deprivation will force citizens to rise against our wicked rulers. This will be a long wait. The smoke of ethnicity and religion blinds us and must clear for us to clearly see our wicked rulers as the enemy. Until then, we continue to live on hope.

@DavidHundeyin @WestAfricaWeek Good move. Ethical Nigerian journalists often retire to a life of penury while the desperate join the evil forces for survival. It's sad to see you leave but I guess it is for the best. Nigeria locks down competence to allow immorality and impunity to continue ravaging the land.

The one duty I have left is to finish my book. I have sold my majority stake in @WestAfricaWeek and there is a new board and editorial committee in place whom I believe are the best placed people to take it to the next level. The new Managing Editor will be unveiled next month.
