@tholoana_m That's "Debt bondage" and it is strictly illegal. Common practise does not supersede the constitution, human rights and the South African law.

@obie187 Iteresting. In simple legal terms it can be kidnapping. But there is an agreement which is in line with the practices of the sector that you graduate once you have settled certain bills & rituals. Secondly it is written explicitly she stays & she as 18+ also committed to staying
