The APC tried to block all the hotels. They tried to prevent that meeting. But the Coalition outsmarted them. Hotel owners were instructed not to rent out their halls to the Coalition. Some others canceled the bookings hours before the events. You can’t believe the faces in that Coalition. What I saw today was a National Movement against a “One Party State.” People you won’t even believe would join, are in there. Many believe that our Democracy is under attack, & Asiwaju’s fate is sealed. Many are waiting on the sidelines, & warming up to join. Bola Tinubu should be scared. This is beyond whatever a Master Strategist can conjure up. He made the mistake of attempting to force a one party state on Nigerians. Then Wike is the second albatross around his neck. He was allowed to insult & intimidate everybody (using state powers). A huge mistake on Bola’s part. If BAT did not not start campaigning from day one, perhaps there won’t have been any Coalition. He is galvanizing the political class against his audacity to capture the state. The Coalition had been strategizing globally. They met everywhere; Morocco, Ghana etc. They outsmarted the so-called Master Strategist. The political elites would have forgiven Bola Tinubu’s past transgressions. But he tried to upset the apple cart (by keeping all the powers to himself). That’s his Original Sin; pride is his sin. I don’t see a way he can meander or rigmarole his way out of this. From this moment forward, every modality has been ironed out. What we see on screens are just for formalities. Asiwaju’s fate is sealed.
