Some children grow up surrounded by stories. Others grow up waiting for someone to place even one book in their hands. For a child, a book is never just paper and words. It is confidence. Imagination. Language. Possibility. It is the quiet beginning of a different future. Through Pages of Possibilities – The Joy of Reading, OBLF is bringing meaningful, age-appropriate books to children who deserve the chance to dream bigger than their circumstances. But this cannot happen without people choosing to care. When you donate, you are not just funding books. You are telling a child: Your dreams matter too. If reading opened doors in your life, this is your opportunity to hold that door open for someone else. Scan the QR code and contribute today or use the link in the bio. donateabook.org.in/product/oblf-p… Because every child deserves the joy of reading — not someday, but now. #PagesOfPossibilities | #JoyOfReading | #DonateABook | #EveryChildDeservesToRead | #EducationForAll | #BooksChangeLives @pbdonateabook @prathambooks @oblfusa

Vinutha knew from a young age that care and healing were where she belonged. She trained at Manipal School of Nursing and went on to work in critical care, including as a nurse in the Adult Intensive Thoracic Unit at Narayana Health, a role that demanded precision, resilience, and strong clinical skills. When she joined OBLF as a palliative care nurse, she brought all of that experience into a very different kind of setting. In community care, no two days are the same. Every home is a new story, Every family, a new relationship built on trust. Unlike hospital settings, she becomes part of the patient's life, present not just medically, but emotionally too. The moments that stay with her are often the smallest. A patient's smile. A simple thank you. Being present when someone needed care the most. For Vinutha, those are not small things; they are the heart of why she does this work. For her, nursing has always been a calling. And every day at OBLF, she continues to honour it. Santosh Kumar Lankesh has always known where he wanted to make a difference. Trained at NIMHANS and specialised in community mental health, he joined OBLF with a clear sense of purpose to bring care directly to the people who need it most. That means regular home visits, continuous support, and walking alongside families through some of their most difficult moments. What sets Santosh apart is his understanding that mental illness rarely affects just one person. Families carry it too; in silence, in fear, in confusion. He works with them just as much as he works with the individual, helping them understand, accept, and support their loved ones. He often reflects on this - physical injuries can be seen, but mental pain is invisible. It requires empathy, not just treatment. That belief is at the core of how Santosh works. With dignity, with patience, and with genuine commitment to every person he serves. Know more about our dedicated teams and our work. As part of OBLF’s continued commitment to strengthening learning outcomes across classrooms, the Annual Summer Training Program for teachers under the Vidhya Pragathi Program is currently underway. This two-week intensive training is designed to support educators in building stronger teaching practices through focused sessions on pedagogy, computer skills, and English language development. The program creates space for teachers to sharpen both their classroom strategies and essential professional skills, helping them adapt to evolving educational needs with greater confidence and effectiveness. By investing in the continuous growth of teachers, the initiative contributes directly to more engaging and inclusive classrooms where students can better participate, learn, and thrive. Improved teaching methods, stronger communication, and increased digital familiarity together help create meaningful and impactful learning experiences for children. This annual training reflects OBLF’s sustained effort to empower educators as lifelong learners and strengthen the foundation of quality education within every classroom. #TeacherTraining | #QualityEducation |#ProfessionalDevelopment | #EducationForChange @oblfusa

Anjali’s journey into community mental health work has been shaped by both lived experiences and her background in social work. Over the years, this path has taken her into neighborhoods, homes, and conversations where people often carry struggles they rarely speak about. Her work isn't just about awareness programs or home visits. It's about becoming a familiar, trusted face in spaces where mental health was once never discussed. She remembers one person who wasn't ready when they first met. No pressure was applied, no timelines set. Months later, that same person sought help on their own, through a community reference. That moment said more than any outcome report ever could. For Anjali, this is what the work looks like. Not breakthroughs, but slow, quiet shifts. A family that now sees her as one of their own. A person who finally feels safe enough to ask for help. That trust, built visit by visit, conversation by conversation, is what community mental health is really about. Do you remember the first time a book held your attention? The kind that made everything else fade for a while? What if that moment never came? For many children in Yadgir and Raichur, it hasn’t yet. But when a book reaches their hands, things begin to change. A quiet moment turns into curiosity. A small gesture turns into confidence. And suddenly, there’s a room full of imagination and joy. This is what one book can start. We’re at 220 books. Can we get to 300 this week? If this made you pause, even for a second, that’s where it begins. What could your contribution look like? ₹85 → one child’s first story ₹510 → six new beginnings ₹1,020 → twelve journeys into imagination ₹2,125 → a room full of stories waiting to unfold Help put the next book into a child’s hands: donateabook.org.in/product/oblf-p… Or share this with someone who’d want to see more moments like these. #PagesToPossibilities | #RightToRead |#ReadingChangesLives | #PayItForward | @pbdonateabook @prathambooks @oblfusa

Recently, OBLF, along with the Anekal Education Department, participated in a Walkathon for Raising Awareness and Promoting Enrollment in Government Schools. The Walkathon brought together education officials, teachers, students, CSR partners, NGOs, and community members to spread awareness about the opportunities and facilities available in government schools. OBLF teachers and students actively participated by distributing pamphlets, carrying awareness banners, and engaging with families across the community. The event was graced by senior education officials, including BEOs, BRCs, the CEO of Bangalore Urban District, and the DDPI of Bangalore South, who highlighted the importance of strengthening public education and encouraging greater enrolment in government schools. At OBLF, we believe strong schools are built through strong communities, and collective efforts like these help move us closer to equitable education for every child. #EducationForAll | #GovernmentSchools | #CommunityEngagement | #PublicEducation | #Anekal @psridharp | @roybijit111 | @sudhau | @anamikamaj | @oblfusa

At OBLF, mental health care doesn't begin in a clinic; it begins in a conversation, in a doorstep visit, in simply showing up. For Girish AR, our Project Coordinator for Mental Health, this work is deeply personal. He stepped into the field after seeing how many people struggle in silence and wanting to make a difference in their lives. In the communities he serves, trust isn’t given overnight; it’s built slowly, consistently, one visit at a time. One family took a long time to open up. Stigma stood in the way. But Girish kept showing up, and gradually, things shifted. That change, however small, is what stays with him. When the work feels heavy, he doesn't look for grand outcomes. A small improvement in someone's life is enough to keep going. That's community mental health, and that's Girish. Know more about our dedicated teams and our work. OBLF was pleased to host an inspiring Volunteering Engagement at GHPS Guddahatti. Volunteers came together to give their time and energy, painting compound walls, creating vibrant murals, and transforming everyday spaces into engaging learning environments. From mathematics to environmental awareness and positive habits, each wall now tells a story the children will see and learn from every day. It was a simple yet meaningful reminder of what collective effort can do, turning shared spaces into places of inspiration. Grateful to the wonderful team from @ADI_News for bringing this day to life. #VolunteerEngagement | #GiveBack | #SchoolBeautification | #VolunteerSpirit | #Analogdevices @oblfusa

A child holds a book- and something shifts. Curiosity begins. Confidence follows. In Yadgir and Raichur, 220 children have already stepped into their first stories. Many more are still waiting. We’re trying to change that- one book at a time. Here’s how you can help: ₹85 = 1 storybook → one child finds their voice ₹510 = 6 storybooks → six new beginnings ₹1,020 = 12 storybooks → twelve children stepping into possibility ₹2,125 = 25 storybooks → a small group discovering a whole new world Donate here: tinyurl.com/ft5hwpne Share this with someone who’d want to be part of a child’s first story. #PagesToPossibilities #ShareGiving #ReadingChangesLives #PayItForward @pbdonateabook | @prathambooks | @oblfusa

Meet Kavitha, As the Content & Pedagogy Developer behind OBLF's English Language Program (ELP), she came in with one clear purpose — to make English practical and usable for participants preparing to step into teaching roles themselves. For Kavitha, designing content that serves real situations has been meaningful from the very beginning. And watching participants grow from hesitation to confidently performing short plays in English at the culmination ceremony showed her exactly why. Watch her story. This week, the participants of OBLF's Accelerated English Language Program stepped onto the stage with confidence that seemed impossible just months ago. What began as hesitant sentences transformed into articulate presentations, spontaneous laughter, and humor-filled skits that had the room in stitches. Every participant who spoke up, stumbled gracefully, and kept going—they're rewriting their own story. Our heartfelt gratitude to @IMTMAssn for their support. #InclusiveEducation | #ConfidenceInAction | #VoicesThatGrow | #SkillDevelopment | #TransformativeLearning | #Empowerment | @oblfusa

Somewhere in Yadgir & Raichur, children are brimming with excitement as they eagerly wait to open up their first storybook. A book that was not within their reach a few weeks ago. That’s what this community has already made possible. And we thank you for this. But here’s the thing…we’re still far from our goal, from where we want to be. 1,500 books. That’s the goal. A growing reading culture. That’s the bigger picture. We request you to step in, take charge. Be the reason one more child discovers their first story. Donate directly: tinyurl.com/ft5hwpne Please share this post among your networks—like, comment for better reach, repost. Let’s keep this going. On the occasion of World Health Day and International Day of Wellbeing, OBLF, with Vanakanahalli Grama Panchayat, hosted SAMPADA — where children stepped in as health educators. Students, supported by community health workers, led sessions on diabetes, hypertension & prevention. Young voices turned health into everyday conversations at home. Change begins when children lead. #SAMPADA #ChildrenForChange #PublicHealthAwareness #WorldHealthDay
