Yesterday morning, Austin Police (APD) Commander Zachary Lahood, Lt. Daryl Bone, and Senior Police Officers Bobby Townes, Ruben Espinosa and Adam Soliz spent the day cooking for the patrol officers who work out of the North Substation to show their appreciation. Day, evening and night shift officers were able to enjoy some delicious chicken and beef fajitas, turkey, sausage wraps, and all of the fixings! Most of the food was contributed by partners and the rest was covered by our team of amazing cooks in blue. Thank you for your hard work, awesome cooking skills and for taking the time out of your day to make this happen! ------- Ayer por la mañana, el comandante Zachary Lahood, el teniente Daryl Bone y los oficiales Bobby Townes, Ruben Espinosa y Adam Soliz del Departamento de Policía de Austin (APD) dedicaron el día a cocinar para los oficiales de patrulla de la subestación norte, como muestra de agradecimiento. Los oficiales de los turnos de día, tarde y noche pudieron disfrutar de unas deliciosas fajitas de pollo y carne, pavo, wraps de salchicha y todos los acompañamientos. ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify family. Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time. He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone. Mother called local police to file a report—but even they couldn't find out he was in ICE custody until 6 days later. It's especially worrying because the 15-year-old boy reportedly functions "like a 4-year-old child" due to his autism. He is currently still detained at the detention center in Houston, Texas. #DemsUnited
