Breaking: ICE Arrests happening at the Santa Ana Immigration Office on Dyer Rd. Two arrests made including Venezuelan community member. We are currently monitoring and letting folks know their rights.

Great news: A Stanton resident detained at their ICE check-in at 34 Civic Center Plaza is now free! Though they were taken across state lines to Arizona, our team met their loved one just in time to connect her with the resources and support to have a successful bond hearing.

Happy May Day to all—except ICE, DHS, Border Patrol, other immigration enforcement agencies, and police/sheriff unions. Your jobs oppress other workers. Shame on your cruelty, your will to control, and your role in dividing and harming our communities.

This morning we held an ICE Watch in La Habra after a family reached out about an encounter with ICE last week. Because they knew their rights, they were able to stay together. In a city where nearly 25% of residents are foreign-born, knowing your rights makes all the difference.

Respectfully, I’m am and will continue to be in disagreement with Gov. Newsom and the double punishment of non-citizens who have served their time and met parole. There are incarcerated fighters who have been, and are being double punished.

Our understanding of how ICE operates in Orange County has deepened over the last 8 years, and our defense of community members has grown stronger as well. The last year and 8 months, we have been able to stop every deportation in our space!
