Australia skipper Pat Cummins faces minor uncertainty over his ICC Champions Trophy 2025 participation having picked up an ankle injury towards the end of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.
Across the five Tests, Cummins (167.0) bowled more overs than any other bowler and the heavy workload came on the back of the Australia skipper not having played any Test cricket for nearly 10 months.
Australian chairman of selectors George Bailey revealed that Cummins has a scan scheduled later this week. The selectors will know the latter’s availability for the mega event only after the scan results are released.

A 19-year-old Konstas faced off against a red-hot Jasprit Bumrah, one of the best pacers in the world who had single-handedly kept India alive in the series. The youngster displayed immense fearlessness and audacity in taking downBumrah with some ramp shots, stunning the packed MCG crowd. Konstas looted 34 of his 60 runs off Bumrah only.
To top it all, Konstas got into a heated exchange of words with Virat when the latter bumped his shoulder into his. The incident rattled both the Indian and Australian dressing rooms in different ways and set the tone for a classic Test match which saw India bundled out for 155 while chasing 340 runs to win on the final day.

India's Virat Kohli has been fined 20% of his match fee after barging into Australia opener Sam Konstas on day one of the fourth Test in Melbourne.
Kohli clashed shoulders with Konstas at the end of the 10th over, with the former India captain appearing to change direction to make contact as the 19-year-old walked down the pitch to speak to batting partner Usman Khawaja.
The pair exchanged words before the umpires and Khawaja calmed the situation down.
