DHS is now investigating Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) for allegedly hiring a Brazilian nanny illegally.
The 33-year-old from Rio entered on a J-1 au pair visa in 2021. It expired end of 2022. Complaints allege the Swalwells kept her on into 2023-2024, paying her “under the table” — possibly with campaign funds — even after her work authorization was denied.
Filmmaker Joel Gilbert filed the complaints with DHS, DOL & FEC. Photos show her still with the family.
DHS: “No employer, including a member of Congress, is above the law.”

Eric Swalwell paid an illegal Brazilian live-in nanny under the table using campaign funds, according to a new complaint.
Meanwhile, the same Swalwell who screams “abolish ICE” and pushes open borders got caught breaking immigration and employment laws for his own family.

I am posting this morning, with an extremely shattered heart. In the wee hours this morning my beautiful boy Casper unexpectedly and suddenly passed away. He has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Life will not be the same. I know there is a special place in Heaven for dogs, and I know Casper will be there to keep the Good Lords seat warm. Just like he did my drivers seat when ever I was out of the truck.

I can’t begin to say enough thank you’s tonight. Or read everything. But I will over time. For the first time in almost 11 years I drove miles by myself. It was heartbreaking. Sitting here now every time the truck rocks a little I expect to see Casper jump up to his seat. My eyes are just so sore.
