I won't mince words. The overwhelming majority of Palestinians are not Hamas. And Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. In fact, they're also suffering as a result of Hamas' terrorism. We need to be clear-eyed about that reality.

a hostage handover or a ceasefire deal makes it look as though they and hamas are on equal ground, that they are legitimate opposing forces. isr*el cannot allow that - they have to make it look like they're beating them by committing as much genocide as possible

it's because they don't actually want hamas to hand over the hostages in a ceasefire deal. they want to demonstrate their "superior might" by killing as many Palestinians as possible. the only way they'd allow those hostages to come home is down a road paved with dead bodies
