@patbrittenden @Chewie_nz $10 doesn't come close to making up the removal of 20 hours free ECE which is being replaced with a much lower tax rebate in their plan.

#BHN Under National, min wage went up 16.7% in six years, under Labour min wage went up 37.6% in six years But National's IS offering min wage earners a $10 a week (or a 1% increase) tax cut. Who's looking after the middle to lower income New Zealanders again? @Chewie_NZ

🦋 Living Safely With Covid #CovidIsAirborne
MONTHS! That potentially means we won’t get updated XBB vaccines until 2024. We need them now while they match circulating strains, not when they are out of date. If MOH/MedSafe want to follow international examples Canada approved the updated vaccines the same day as the US.
Hayley 🏳️‍🌈@Writagal

Just noting that updated Covid vaccines for New Zealanders are “months” away and also that not one party has explicitly said (during an ongoing pandemic) that clean air policy will be urgently progressed despite the very stark, very demonstrable health impacts of Covid. 🫠

Lots of good things to emulate in blue zones societies, like healthy diets, strong communities, dancing, etc. but maybe not their record-keeping and data collection.
Derek Thompson@DKThomp

The most interesting secret of "Blue Zones"— places where ppl live extra long lives—appears to be, sadly, improper record-keeping. The number of ppl living 100+ years just happens to ~mysteriously~ drop sharply after the introduction of state-wide birth certification.

@maz_righthand @NewshubPolitics If they are wrong, it'll be higher interest rates and mortgages, higher inflation, higher house prices, more homelessness, more crime (as crime increases as with the gap between rich and poor), public service cuts and potentially higher GST.

New Zealanders are sick of it. Data out today shows food prices rose 9.6% in the past 12 months. Some Kiwis can't afford to buy the groceries and none of us can afford a Labour Government. A party vote for National will get the economy growing, end the cost-of-living crisis and get New Zealand back on track.

Some mind-body + brain re-training ARE scams and caution is always advised. However - it is just as important to recognize that mind-body approaches change patterns of GENE EXPRESSION. There is no WOO in some of these techniques. Which programs helped? Are scams?

Kia ora anyone in the know, when will the updated boosters that target the XBBs be available in New Zealand? Or is that a while off yet/not coming because we’ve decided to axe the pandemic response budget alongside the climate change budget (that’s sarcasm but also 😬)

@mitchell_didit @NickDale @hexles @TheSpinoffTV This is not some new low, the political parties have been playing this particular game forever. The only party that, for the most part focuses on promoting beneficial public policy is the Greens.
