With multiple reports of trees on fire at 8:15 p.m., firefighters responded to Orange Acres Lane in @City_of_Irvine, where eight cypress trees were engulfed in flames and showering embers. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, preventing any damage to nearby homes.

After stabilizing his injuries, crews carried him more than a half mile across rugged terrain to a safe location where he was hoisted into the helicopter. The helicopter then landed at a nearby location, and firefighter paramedics took him to the hospital in an ambulance.

From sleeping to safety. That’s what working smoke alarms did for a resident on Center Court in @LagunaNiguelCty. He was awakened by smoke alarms alerting him to a fire downstairs, giving him valuable time to escape and call 911 at 4:42 this morning.

Give this dog an award! At about 4:30 this morning, Fillmore barked urgently from his bed inside the family home on Skyway Drive in Unincorporated Tustin, refusing to stop. Realizing something was wrong, the homeowners looked out the window and saw a flickering light.
