Today, as every day, we remember Diogo Jota on what would have been his 29th birthday.
All of our love, thoughts and prayers continue to be with his wife Rute, his children, parents and all of his family and friends, as well as those of his brother, Andre.
Forever in our hearts, forever our number 20 ❤️

I completely oppose plans to rename Herzog Park. It is wrong. We are an inclusive Republic. This proposal is offensive to that principle. I urge all Party Leaders to join me in opposition to this.

A mad and bad spiral.
So sad to see and hard to see a way out of it.

“It would be understandable if each time Liverpool’s players heard Jota’s song, it made some check what they were doing. It would be understandable if each time they needed a goal, minds darted to the occasions Jota rescued them.
“It would be understandable if once apparently invincible title winners stared at the space in the changing room where Jota used to get ready and felt a surge of grief.
“And it is understandable if all of this contributes in some way to where Liverpool are at the moment.”
Liverpool’s slump this season has been endlessly discussed but the long-term impact of Diogo Jota’s death has gone largely unspoken.
Maybe it shouldn’t be, writes @Simon_Hughes__

🗣️"You can't go around threatening to kidnap people's children, carry out sexual violence against close family relatives and blow up their house. This is not who we are."
Tánaiste Simon Harris reacts to the recent threats he has received online against him and his family.
🗳️Talking to Shane Coleman at the Fine Gael Think-In in Mullingar, Harris also stressed the need for "a clean, decent, proper presidential campaign".

United’s demise is proof karma exists, good and bad. My whole childhood they just won everything, signed all the best players, gloated in faces. Now they’re a 12-year laughing stock and rivals City & Liverpool have dominated ever since. Rotten club from top to bottom.

That’s why we’re champions…
