One of the biggest and lesser known stories of Nov 29 is that the lands allocated to a Jewish state (two color map) were essentially those the Zionists reclaimed from malaria through land purchase, science and education (blue map). Moreover, the sudden and extremely rapid increase of the Arab population in the 1920’s and 1930’s in this barely populated backwater region (this was the highest population increase rate in the world in 1931/2) was only in part due to immigration spurred by Zionist development of the land. The major share of the massive Arab population increase was thanks to Malaria eradication, which was the work of the Galician born famed microbiologist and ardent Zionist Dr. Israel Kligler (credit to the great historical work of Anton Alexander). With this knowledge it remains even a greater tragedy that the now much more numerous Arabs of the land directed their efforts towards brutally fighting Zionism rather than choosing to live side by side with an emerging Jewish state. In the shadow of the Oct 7 massacre we mark once more the Nov 29 moment when the Jews said yes to the UNGA plan of partition (having prioritized having a state, even if tiny and mostly desert and lands reclaimed from malaria and no Zion and no Judea) and the Arabs said no and proceeded to wage a brutal war to the present day (having prioritized - still - the goal of the Jews not having a state at all and of any size). (Note on map titles: for twenty centuries, before a camoaign of denial was underway, it was well understood that the name “Palestine” merely denoted the geographic region where the Land of Israel was and was therefore deeply associated with Jews and the their continuous connection to the land. Hence the League of Nation in establishing the mandate recognized the “historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine" as the "grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country” and which is why the Palestine Philharmonic Orchestra of Jewish musicians became the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra…)

Since the demise of BBC is being discussed, let’s have a reminder of this. Remember the Gazan Al-Ahli hospital? The BBC, reported it as being hit by an Israeli airstrike. A lie that Hamas had published and the media ran with immediately. The BBC’s Jeremy Bowen even said the hospital was “totally flattened” It turned out, the hospital car park was hit with a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket. This misinformation blaming Israel set the Middle East on fire. Calls for the death of Israel were heard across multiple countries. Embassies attacked. An ancient synagogue in Tunisia was desecrated. Global antisemitism sky rocketed. It wasn’t until all of that damage was done that the BBC and Jeremy Bowen admitted they got it wrong. And of course, Jeremy Bowen said he didn’t regret it or “feel particularly bad about it” Read and watch below: Jeremy Bowen: "I don't regret one thing in my reporting because I was measured throughout, I didn't race to judgement" Interviewer: But you said that building had been flattened? Jeremy Bowen: "Oh yeah well I got that wrong because I was looking at the pictures and what I could see was a square that appeared to be flaming on all sides and there was a you know sort of a void in the middle and it was I think it was a picture taken from a drone. And so you know we have to piece together what we see. And I thought well that looks like the whole buildings gone and that was my conclusion from looking at the pictures and I was wrong on that, um but I don't feel particularly bad about that."

Mamdani keeps using me as a foil in his campaign stump speeches and interviews. What @ZohranKMamdani doesn’t understand is that I am not opposed to his candidacy because my taxes will go up. Mamdani is not the right mayor because he is a socialist with no experience running anything. He does not respect the @NYPD. Closing Rikers will make NYC a much more dangerous place. Rent freezes won’t reduce the cost of living for all but a select few New Yorkers and only temporarily. City-run supermarkets will have empty shelves. Free buses will become homeless shelters. And his anti-business policies including higher corporate taxes will kill NYC jobs and cause companies to flee. And he also stole the @nyknicks logo. It is not about me, Zohran. It’s about what’s best for all New Yorkers. share.google/PRxJosikvtKaZV…

Antizionism is a hate movement based on libel. In other words, spread a libel—genocide—then treat anyone who objects or feels uncomfortable with spreading the libel as associated with, or a “supporter,” of the supposed evil, allowing one to treat them without any compassion and as worthy of degradation.

Have you even checked in on Olivia to see if she’s ok after all the emotional labor of defending genocide?

On 7 October, I think of Shari Mendes and the team of women who dealt so tenderly with the girls’ bodies. Faces shot, groins shot, legs hacked off, no hands, objects in vaginas, trying to remove a nose ring from a once beautiful face with no face. Extreme sexual violence. No girl was in a fit state to be shown to her parents, Shari said. Not one. Hamas are Evil. Barbarians at our gate. Never forget. 7 October 💔

"There's just a different standard for Jews in Israel when it comes to prosecuting a war, they're allowed to fight back to a truce, but unlike America or any other Western nation that is attacked this viciously, they're not allowed to win a war. It's a double standard." @profgalloway on the @Morning_Joe show - say it louder for the people in the back 👏🏻👏🏻 🎥 @MSNBC

Where are all the Hollywood actors and the “ceasefire now” crowd? A Gaza peace plan is on the table. It ends the war, returns the hostages, and builds a future for Palestinians. Backed by the UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey. If you really care about peace, demand Hamas accepts the deal now.

Let’s talk about the Emmy awards, and Hollywood stars doing what they do best — act. Hannah Einbinder and Javier Bardem threw themselves into the role of pro-Palestine activists. Red, bloody hand, pins. Free Palestine slogans. Javier looked in character culturally appropriating a keffiyeh – like he was auditioning for a role on the Columbia University quad. The issue is, however well they perform, and however well intended they might be, and they might, that script doesn’t help Palestinians and will not make a single difference in ending the war in Gaza. It only deepens the divide and ignores the actual realities in the region. Hannah Einbinder said Jews must be separated from the State of Israel. Now, it’s true that Jews and the Israeli government are not the same thing. Obviously. But Hannah or חנה I have to break it to you: Jews, Judaism, our language, religion culture and tradition, come from Israel. We, and you too חנה are an indigenous people. Connection to Israel is an inseparable part of who we are as Jews, no matter how much you hate the Israeli government or this horrible war. And Javier, calling for boycotts of colleagues in the Israeli film industry is an attack on the most progressive, most inclusive and most diverse creative industry not just in Israel, but in the entire Middle East. You’re attacking the very Israelis who should be your allies in calling for this war to end. I get it. This war has been going on for too long, and war is horrific. But selective outrage and demonization of one side won’t bring it to an end. Ignoring Hamas’s crimes, failing to call for the release of the hostages who Hamas starves and tortures and never acknowledging that this war started with one of the most barbaric massacres in history on October 7: that’s not pro-peace. That’s propaganda. It’s not just virtue signaling, it’s actually endangering the Middle East. Javier, Hannah, and all the rest of you who wore red blooded pins or a bag calling for a magical cease-fire – you’re ignoring the Palestinians who you should be supporting. If you want to support Palestinians, how about some solidarity with those in Gaza risking their lives to protest against Hamas? Hamas beats them, tortures them and kills them in the streets. They need Hamas gone. They are begging for Hamas to be gone. The Arab League wants Hamas gone. Israel wants Hamas gone. Anyone who claims to care about the Palestinian people should be calling for Hamas to go. So if you really want to free Palestine, you should listen to the people in Gaza — not the terrorists of Hamas. This cosplaying is not helping Palestinians. You’re helping Hamas stay in power. If you want to use your platform for good, use it to build bridges between Israelis, Palestinians and all the peoples of the region. Let’s stop reading the same tired script, with the same tired costumes. If you want a better script, it sounds like this: Return the hostages. Remove Hamas. End the war.

I was lied to my whole life. They told me Israel can’t be a Jewish state - There are ~25 Muslim states. Told me Jews only take care of themselves - a Jewish woman got this Arab Muslim kid to Harvard. Told me before Israel, we all lived in peace - 1929 Hebron Massacre was 20 years before. Told me all Palestinians were forced out - elders in the village said many people sold their lands…and left to the west Told me “we love Palestinians” - yet all nearby Arab countries treat them like second class citizens. Some people force you to join their political cause under the lie of morality, and justice. Don’t fall for it like I did. Seek the truth.

Everything they say and do is a lie. The whole thing. Like how they all - every last one of them, the entirety of your elites, and the journalists who are supposed to call them to task - lied to you about the lab leak, about Hunter's laptop, about NSA wiretapping of Americans. Or about a hundred other things. And when the truth came out, they just moved on to some other lie. There's so much suffering in the Gaza war. They don't have to lie to make you sympathize with Palestinians. But they lie anyway. Constantly. About everything. It's just how the system works.
Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)@agraybee

It's kinda wild how this group of random activists put out a press release calling themselves the world's leading genocide scholars and every media outlet on the planet just ran with it. And now they've deactivated their twitter account.

The lost generations are those who educated in the UNRWA schools on the destructive ideology of “return” as the singular obssession with the undoing of a Jewish state and who grew up to pursue butchery in its name. It is one of the greatest educational crimes of the last century.
Philippe Lazzarini@UNLazzarini

#Gaza is in ruins. So is its education system. The Israeli Forces have destroyed or damaged most schools & education facilities in #Gaza. Today, instead of going back to school, like most children around the world, around 660,000 girls and boys in Gaza will be sifting through the rubble, desperate, hungry, traumatized & mostly bereaved. The longer they stay out of school with their trauma, the higher the risk they become a lost generation, sowing the seeds for more hatred & violence. #Ceasefire is the only way forward, to reverse the famine & the “Scholasticide” hitting the children of Gaza.
