Timely discussion today at the @OECDdev Future of Development Co-operation Conference.
Here’s what I told the session👇
The world is facing record levels of armed conflicts, inequality, and economic instability. Around the world, people are living the impacts of climate change.
While people’s needs are sharply increasing, the resources to address them are dwindling.
In this era of polycrisis, we cannot rely on traditional ways of working. It’s time for financing models and policies to evolve and adapt to change and crises. And that’s only half the journey.
To advance sustainable development and address multiple crises, we must close the gap between ambition and action – building capacity to implement and deliver tangible results for the communities we serve.
My thanks to the fellow panellists for an insightful exchange.
