Been seeing posts about voice actors leaving certain projects because they're not big time, but I just want to say if you're going to step down from any project, just say you want to step down and not wait days after a deadline just for the director to reach out. 🙄

@rileymarieVO If it helps, think of it this way... your skills have outpaced where you believed you would be. Which is a fancy way of saying that you are better at voice acting than you think you are. Give it time. Your beliefs will adjust... kind of. You might get even better, faster...

tbh, imposter syndrome has hit me quite a bit lately. i sometimes question if i’m doing enough, or if i’m even good enough, to continue with VA. but i won’t be giving up. i’m still incredibly proud of all my progress, and i’m taking it one day at a time! 🫶🏻💪🏻

In VO, low booking rates + constant rejection come with the territory. Doesn’t make it easy. What’s your biggest struggle in the industry right now?

@TomAglioVO Right now I would have to say... success? Over exertion? I am starting to get into physical acting, I am a full time college student, and I work a part time job, as well as a YouTube channel. It's becoming hard to balance my time to make room for voice acting.

@rileyjettvox A lower quality microphone in a high quality recording space will sound leagues better than a high quality microphone in a poor quality recording space. Of course there is a happy middle ground... but that should be your focus. Technique -> Recording Space -> Micraphone Quality.

@melissamedinavo Venting is healthy, sometimes, and I know how you feel. My VA opportunities have dropped off the roof and I am annoyed about it. It feels like there are people holding on to tradition just for the sake of tradition/power, at this point.
