As #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026 begins, pre-event consultations by Institute of Social Studies Trust and V. V. Giri National Labour Institute highlighted a key message: AI is not neutral.

Dr. Jahnvi Andharia (Director, ISST) reminded us that a gender-just future of work needs AI that is accountable, equitable, and rooted in feminist research. As India moves toward #ViksitBharat2047, these choices will shape whether AI deepens or dismantles inequality.
