Parliamentarians from Finland H.E Ms. Päivi Räsänen, Chairperson of Demo-Finland and Member of Parliament, Finland as well as H.E Mr. Anders Adlercreutz, Member of Parliament, Finland shared their experiences in Finland to highly participate women in their political arena. 6/7

NEWA finalized its preparation to increase female candidates to run for both parliament and regional houses of councils. The training is the first stage of this intervention to be used as identification of gaps so that NEWA decides how to support women and political parties. 5/7

We believe that although there are small steps of progress, we have a long way to go. Poverty, above all things is the source of so much adversity. Perhaps dealing with women and poverty might speed up change in other areas where women still suffer. What do you think?
