Last year when testifying before Congress I mentioned the need for IPO reforms. Startups are staying private longer than ever and large M&A is essentially closed with deals being blocked. It's more important than ever that we give the public the opportunity to get involved and benefit earlier in a companies lifecycle. And we need to make an easier path for investors to get liquidity so more money can be infused into the ecosystem to increase innovation.

Show me the incentives and I'll show you the outcome. Real builders are heads down for a long time and only raise what they need. Asymptotically, this creates far more robust companies. Founders are falling into the short term dopamine trap.

@marticarzaniga @MarioNawfal Yes, OpenAI had to rewrite APIs, reduce their delays between system to user etc, because of the speed of tokens being >1000 tokens per second. They’ve figured this out for the smaller language models but not yet at scale.

There may be 1T+ of demand for Anthropic for this (potential) round. Seeing so much broker activity claiming to have access (I've gotten at least 30 emails this week). Buyer beware. Companies like this are very tight on their cap table, as they should be, and many of these groups are very risky to try to get access. But I have never seen a private company stop the entire world the way Anthropic does when there are reports of a potential round.

hate to give more visibility to this guy.. but one of difficult truths about the world is that the skillsets/posture required to go from making 100-300k a year are totally unrelated from those that take you to 5-25m/y. the former often is disguisted with the later

#Lime IPO incoming @OfficialBBrooks Reported $59m net loss on $887m of revenue for 2025, compared to a $34m net loss on $687m in revenue for 2024. Has raised >$900m in VC funding, from Andreessen Horowitz, Bain Capital Ventures, and GV. Peak valuation was $2.4 billion in 2019. Lime's top rival is #Bird, which also owns Spin and went public via SPAC in 2021 at a $2.3B valuation. Bird later went bankrupt and now is owned by its lenders.
