Not to be cynical, and the article doesn't reveal how many people did this, but: surely cashing out and donating the remainder of one's shares to offset taxes signals a belief that one is selling into the top?

Codex /goal With Hermes Agent is life-changing.
I updated my Hermes agent skill to give Codex a goal on the fly using Telegram and track each one of those codex goals in a Kanban board.
It has been really insane to see and track Codex execute goals in the wild.

We used to take a user and say, game, game, game, game, game. If you weren't switching games, that's a pretty bad ad format to show you. Ethan, why future tense? The disruption's been underway since the first person Googled their symptoms.
Rock Health: 18% of consumer AI chatbot users self-adjust prescriptions without telling their doctor. Gallup + Ganguli/Harvard data point to roughly 14M primary care visits per month that aren't happening anymore. Knowledge, Diagnosis, and Treatment Migrations well underway.
And look at the track record against NPs and PAs. Doctors voted, donated, and lobbied hard for decades. Today NPs have full practice authority in 27 states and deliver more than a billion patient visits a year.
The guild lost.
The AI fight will go the same way, except faster — because the patient doesn't need anyone's scope-of-practice ruling to open ChatGPT and skip the appointment. And they're already doing it in droves.

Missing from the “will AI replace doctors?” debate is that doctors (and lawyers and psychologists and bankers) all vote & form the donor base to political parties & have deep community ties. The government will largely determine what AI is allowed to do, no matter what it can do
